Here at Allan Vigil Dealerships, we consider each member of our team a member of our family. And we are so proud to announce that one of our team members, Emily Poole of Allan Vigil Ford of Fayetteville, was recently named the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce 2011 Young Professional of the Year.

This award recognizes a young professional between the ages of 21-40 who demonstrates community involvement and leadership as well as an aspiration to succeed in their career. Emily meets these qualifications and more. Not only is Emily accomplished in her position in Fleet Sales here at Allan Vigil Ford, but her positive attitude and generosity make it apparent to all that she is deserving of this award.

Congratulations, Emily. The Allan Vigil Dealership family is incredibly proud of your accomplishment.

Casting Call

Emmy award winning producers are now casting for a Ford-based, web reality show. You may have seen last year’s season, Focus Rally America, and now we are back with season two – Escape Routes. If you are highly in-tune with the world of social media and have a great sense of adventure, this could be the perfect show for you!

Six teams of two will be competing in this interactive reality competition to win $100,000 and two brand new 2013 Ford Escapes. You will rely on the help of your friends, fans, and followers to help accomplish the route and complete varying challenges.

If you or someone you know is interested, a casting call will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012, from 2-5 pm at The Hard Rock Cafe in Atlanta. If you aren’t able to make it to the casting call, you may also complete the online application and submit a video showing them that you have what it takes for Escape Routes!

From all of us here at Allan Vigil Dealerships, we would like to extend warm wishes for a wonderful holiday season for each of you and your families. This has been an amazing year for us and we hope it has been just as great for all of you. With the end of the year approaching, we took some time to reflect upon some of the best moments of 2011.

One of our favorite moments this past year was the Fiesta Promotion, where we drove out to local establishments and met hundreds of people from the community. Another one of our favorite moments was the Soap Box on the South Side derby. We had children and their families come from many states to enjoy the event. It was a wonderful weekend and we were honored to raise money for a worthwhile cause, CURE Childhood Cancer.

While reflecting back at some of our favorite moments from the year, we realized that they all had one thing in common: meeting new people. Each one of your stories and shared experiences has had an impact on us. We thank each of you for a wonderful year and wish all of you a peaceful, relaxing holiday season.

Vigil Chiefs of the Month

The Vigil Chiefs of the Month for November and December have been announced!

Nominated by two of her teachers, Dr. Wesche and Mr. Mason, Abby Christman is the November Chief of the Month for her display of optimism. Dr. Wesche states: “Abby is one of the most cheerful and consistently positive students I have known in over 30 years of education. Her enthusiasm and “joie de vivre” is contagious among the students in the classroom. She often makes me laugh and is a bright light in my day as a teacher.”

Mr. Mason adds that “Abby is a wonderful student and active member of the yearbook staff. Her dedication to always do what is best and to do right by others is such a positive example for others to follow. Her commitment to excellence in all she does is inspiring to us all.”

Kristen Vickers is the December Chief of the Month, nominated by Ms. Satterfield for her display of motivation and leadership. “Kristen has demonstrated excellent leadership skills this year as the MHS HOSA president. She has led other HOSA members to successfully obtain local, state, and national recognition for our chapter.”

Spearheading the Special Olympics first aide clinic, Fayette Samaritans canned food drive, Atlanta Missions ‘Keep Warm’ drive, Ashley Glen Assisted Living Home volunteer program, and the HOSA leadership rally and conference—Kristen is a remarkable leader with great insights for building and improving the McIntosh HOSA chapter.”

Congratulations to both Kristen and Abby for providing an example for their fellow McIntosh students, and to all of us!

We here at Allan Vigil Dealerships are thankful for so many things in our lives. Especially during this important time of year, we are happy to reflect on those things that bring us joy and thanks year-round.

We are grateful for the men and women who serve our country, protecting and keeping us all safe, and appreciative to their families who celebrate Thanksgiving at home while their loved ones are away protecting our great nation.

We are thankful to be a part of the local communities in the surrounding areas of both Morrow and Fayetteville and to do what we can to be involved and support the local area. We are fortunate to have the best team around, our employees, who we are proud to work with each day and who are part of the Vigil family. They enable us to do the great work we do each day of the year.

Vigil Chief of the Month

A couple months ago, we announced a program called Vigil Chief of the Month. As part of this program, Allan Vigil Ford of Fayetteville is proud to team up with McIntosh High School to recognize students who deserve acclaim for being a good student, citizen, and all-around exceptional member of the student body.

These students are nominated and selected on a monthly basis by the teachers’ leadership team. Once the standout student is selected, we will recognize him or her during the morning announcements and present them with certificate of recognition and a gift.

The first two Chiefs of the Month were recognized recently at McIntosh. Pictured below are Morgan Helton, Emily Poole of Allan Vigil Ford of Fayetteville, and Jacqui Green:

Morgan Helton is the September Student of the Month and was nominated by Mr. Yarbrough for her leadership and creativity in promoting Red Ribbon Week. Morgan was passionate in her research and responsibility to deliver the message to be drug-free. Always motivated to excel, she conducted research, proposed ideas, and worked with her group to create an outstanding Red Ribbon Week video.

Jacqui Green is our Student of the Month for October, nominated by Debbie Satterfield. Jacqui saw the need for more workers on the HOSA Homecoming float and brought many friends and her brother to help work on it. She encouraged students to join HOSA and spread word about the the benefit of HOSA and Healthcare Science classes. It was through her and other HOSA members that the HOSA float was successfully awarded first prize!

Congratulations to both Morgan Helton and Jacqui Green for being named the first two Vigil Chiefs of the Month!
