Tanner Foust not only stunt drives a car like an action hero, he draws a crowd like one.
Last week Allan Vigil Ford Lincoln had the pleasure of hosting the popular driver and TV host in our dealership. The two-time Formula Drift champion and four-time (will you confirm 3-time is correct? I think he won more medals two weekends ago) X-Games gold medalist stopped by to sign autographs and give away some free tickets to the Global Rally Cross event at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Fans, big and small, began gathering in line about 3 pm to ensure they’d be among the first to meet him. The first 20 in line won free tickets to the Global RallyCross event. The first 30 received autographed hats. A funny and gracious guest, Foust posed for pictures, signed posters and any other personal keepsakes and gave out signed hats.
Foust was in town this weekend for the Global Rally Cross (GRC) motorsport event at Atlanta Motor Speedway. He placed second in that event after puncturing a tire. GRC is a motorsport combining elements of supercross and rally racing. As many as 10 cars race simultaneously on dirt and asphalt courses. Foust is currently the 3rd ranked driver GRC drive in the world, pretty impressive for a guy who took up driving while studying pre-med and earning a biology degree. Foust recently won two gold medal at the X Games earlier this month, making him winner of more rally car medals than any other competitor in X Games history.
